It's been a while since I've posted anything here, so I thought I was over due for an update. Essentially nothing terribly exciting going on except... THE SUPER AWESOME SSRP MEET UP! I'm so excited, this is the 3rd SSRP meet up. And it's larger then ever with people coming from all over the country and even Canada!
I think I'm more excited to see my friends again then anything else. Ben and I weren't even home from the last meet up before we found ourselves saying "I miss 'so-n-so'". So it's easy to see I'm excited.
This has again brought up an odd issue some people have where they don't like to admit to people they know in their day-to-day lives that they are a part of a role playing community online. I fail to see why this even matters or why anyone would think anything different of you for it.
I role play. Role playing online is a lot like Dungeons and Dragons but what I do is more Sci Fi and is doesn't involve any dice. Do you think less of me? I would hope not. I can't help but think of the famed Dr. Seuss quote:
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"
so... Represent! I'm a Role Playing nerd and I'm proud of it!
